If you are a dog lover, during your life, you will have the honor of dogs coming in and out of your life. With us being a rescue and also a breeder, we see many dogs coming in and out of our life. Occasionally you will have one that touches you a little more than the rest.
We have had that special dog that has touched our life and will be remembered the rest of our life. That dog's name is Tasha, or as we called her Miss Tasha.
She was our Rottie that believed she was human. Sometimes she believed she was a husky. Many of mornings we were awaken by the beautiful sound of the huskies serenading us. If have been around huskies there is nothing more beautiful than this sound. Well imagine that sound but a little off key and deep and behind. Then you would have Tasha.
She was the best kid sitter than you could imagine. Our son Jacob would go outside on the trampoline. Mama Tasha would be either under it or on the side going around and around every bounce he made. Making sure that he was ok. He always got off safely never a scratch. From one mother to another thank you Tasha.
I am a firm believer that everyone has a soul mate and she had one too. Her sole mate was Weyekin. They grew up together and in the later years have become more like husband and wife than brother and sister. Tasha would always look after Weyekin. Just like any other male, he would sometimes he get a little distracted and with a little growl and a nudge she would get him back on track. Just like any other woman, on those cold nights, she always looked for a warm body to snuggle up to.
She was a security guard. We always knew when someone would drive up. She especially had an affection for the Papa John's delivery person and would loudly and deeply welcome them to the property. Unfortunately, sometimes they would not share the same affection and preferred to wait in the car.
On January 28, 2008 we lost a very important member of our family. She is now with her other brother Bear (another Rottie that Ben had before we married) playing in the fields. We thank God for sharing her with us for the 8 years that we had her. We will miss her and will always lover her. Below are some pictures of our beautiful girl.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS BEN (daddy) Melissa Josh and Jacob (your buddies)
